Red Performance 2020
When: Sunday 20th December
Where: NIDA Parade Theatres, Kensington
Times: 10am (Red show matinee)
2pm (Red show afternoon)
*times are TBC. All students in the RED shows MUST perform in both sessions.
Tickets: $50-$60 per ticket (no concession rate available)
Based on current restrictions, only 2 x tickets for one show will be available to purchase per performing student and students MUST perform in both shows. Show times will be allocated to you and are non-negotiable. To make allocated seating fair, names will be drawn from a hat by DC and assigned corresponding seat/s.
Payment is to the studio directly and due date will be released soon.
Compulsory Concert Fee: $45 per performer (due 17th October)
This covers a downloadable link (like a concert DVD) of filmed 2pm show and DC staff and carers for the day.
Video Terms and Conditions:
The PERFORMANCE will be recorded. Personal photography & video recording is NOT allowed. Please be aware that your child’s participation in this Performance is with the understanding they will be videoed for promotional & commercial use.
Costume Fees: These will be invoiced to you separately when the costume is finalised.
We have put together a prospectus of what to expect costume-wise based on your Term 3 enrolled classes in the RED show. Whilst we cannot guarantee this prospectus will be exact – it is to be used as a guide only. These will be emailed to you over the next week.
Covid Safe Practices:
The Theatres and public areas at NIDA are extensively cleaned, sanitised and fumigated prior to the arrival of any audience members. High touch points are cleaned regularly throughout the day by cleaners, and even more so when there is a show by both cleaners and Front of House staff. After audience members leave, a thorough cleaning and fumigation is completed once again, to ensure the venue is as clean as possible for the next users.
We will consider making mask and other protective clothing compulsory for audience members closer to the performance date depending on health advice and other regulations – please consider this in your decision
Any additional or extra recommendations by the health department will be considered and communicated with you
Our decision to hold the Red Show is based on the current regulations in place:
We will only be cancelling the NIDA Performance/s if there is a change in regulations and our performance structure does not comply. In this case, we will host a filming session on Sunday 20th December (time TBC) where students will perform in costume and be professionally filmed for a downloadable link (like a concert DVD but downloadable) – which is why no credits or refunds can be considered for costume or concert fee expenses. Tickets purchased may be eligible for a partial refund (approx. $8.50 per ticket will be retained by ticketek and NIDA)
Any personal choices not to attend will be considered as change of mind and credit notes will not be considered
For exceptional circumstances, as always, we will evaluate case by case
